Vergia Edmons Boynton, age 91 of Pikeville, died Saturday, March 1, 2014. She was a member of the Mt. Crest United Methodist Church.
Vergia was preceded in death by husband J. B. Boynton.
Survivors include children Thomas (Rita) Boynton, Pikeville; John B.(Glenda ) Boynton, Jr., Hermitage; Roger (Ruth) Boynton; Alice (Jim) Moody; Alan (Bonnie ) Boynton; Darcy (Sherri ) Boynton; Bennett (Tammie ) Boynton, all of Pikeville; grandchildren Mindy, Andrew, David, Brandon, Tara, Chad, Kris, Joshua, and Whitney; three great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister Bessie (Mike) Neal, Chattanooga; brother Louis Edmons, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Wednesday at 11:00am CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Boynton Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Tuesday 5-9 pm CST.
