Our loving brother, Bill Hankins, age 73, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Erlanger Bledsoe Hospital. He is the son of the late, Milo and Flora Hankins; his grandparents are the late, Ease and Eliza Hankins and Will and Josphine Hale. He was a truck driver for over 40 years.
He is survived by wife, Velva Long; four sisters, Dorothy Smith, Idell (Ivan) Johnson, Bessie (Joe) Brymer, and Bertha (Larry) Ford, all of Dunlap. Two brothers, Harold (Katie) Hankins, Pikeville and Clyde Hankins, Dunlap; step-children, Debbie (Kenny) Norris, South Carolina, Ronald (Teresa) Smith, Dunlap, Roger (Kathy) Songer, Dalton, GA, Greg (Heather) Cooley, Tunnel Hill, GA, Janice (Larry) Harvey, and Dennie Curtis Harvey, both of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dan Rains and Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery.
