Shirley Vergara, age 72, of Whitwell, TN, passed away Wednesday January 29, 2014 in the Parkridge Medical Center. She was of the Church of God faith. She was preceeded in death by her parents, Walter Etherton and Alda Goslow; granddaughter, Stephanie Viola Van Hoosier; niece, Jannice Snyder.
She is survived by husband, Roy Vergara, Houston, TX; daughter, Deanna Van Hoosier, Whitwell; sons, Paul Vergara, Trenton, GA and Mark Vergara, Whitwell; granddaughters, Jessica Van Hoosier (Javier) Pardo, Whitwell, Whitney (Jr.) Van Hoosier, Jasper; Kylee Vargara, Trenton, GA; greatgrandson, Lucas M. Dillon; sister, Allice Bush, Cookeville; several nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Brad Bryant officiating. The arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home, Whitwell, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Family will receive friends Saturday 5-9 p.m. CST.
