Edward Eugene "Gene" Wheeler, age 74, a lifelong resident of Pikeville, TN., died peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at his home in Vernon, FL. Through out his life, he owned and operated a construction company along with working as a construction superintendent for various companies.
Survivors include wife Mary Louise Cranwell-Wheeler; children Taylor, Eddie, Scott, and Sarah Wheeler; seven grandchildren; sisters Lura Lee Shettle, Mary Nell Summers, Betsy Word; brother Harold Wheeler; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Service will be Sunday at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with burial in Wheeler Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Saturday 4-9 pm CST.
