William Clyde Dodson, age 78 of the Mooneyham Community, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his home. Clyde was born October 19, 1935 to Arliss Clyde and Dollie Mae Cagle Dodson. He was a faithful member of the Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; son W. C. Dodson; three sisters Tobitha Thompson, Laura Neely, and Flora Watson; three brothers Charles, Floyd, and James Dodson.
Survivors include wife of fifty-nine years Shirley Dean Beasley Dodson; daughters Louise (Steve) House, Spencer; Betty (Larry) Conley, Sparta; Linda (Raymond) Brewer, Crossville; sons Jimmy (Barbara) Dodson; Johnny (Mary Ann) Dodson, all of Sparta; sisters Arlen Mooneyham and Winnie Jane Roberts, both of Spencer; brothers Herbert (Virginia), Loyde (Mary) Dodson, Georgia; Cecil Van Dodson and Billy Joe (Laura Faye) Dodson, Spencer; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 1:00 pm CST Saturday, December 28, at the Mooneyham Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Myers Cemetery.
