Valker "Val" Bevans, age 83 of Dunlap, TN died early Saturday morning June 14, 2008 at the NHC Health Care Center. She worked for the Lee County, FL Sheriff Department. She was preceded in death by her father William Floyd Heavner and mother Olgie Mae Cook.
She is survived by her son Wade (Patsy) Chittom Jr. Bryson City, NC; two daughters Peggy E. Glarum and Carolyn A. (Bob) Beno, both of Dunlap; five grandchildren James D. Jerkins, Phillip J. Stimens, Sandra D. Tillman, Travis W. And Ross A. Chittom; three great-grandchildren Ashley and Matthew Tillman and Skylar Jerkins; sister Louise McReynolds
Funeral service will be Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Cagle-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. CDT.
