Audrey Simmons, age 88 of Pikeville, died Monday, December 2, 2013. She was a member of Mt. Crest Church of God of Prophecy where she enjoyed singing for the Lord. Audrey was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, mother-in-law, and sister. She loved to joke, laugh, smile, and pull a trick or two. She also loved cooking and making chocolate pies, but her greatest loves were family and church.
Audrey was preceded in death by brother Willie Joe Forsythe; parents Bill and Lillie Forsythe.
Survivors include husband N. C. Simmons; daughter Brenda (Don) Nobles, Gallatin; three sons Gerald (Margie) Simmons, Germantown; Roger (Susan) Simmons, Pikeville; Gary (Kim) Simmons, Crossville; grandchildren Aaron (Tia) Bowlin; Bryan (Aimee) Simmons; Alecia (Scott) Sorrells; Jennifer (Brad) Hale; Niki Nobles; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters Anna Marie Yates, Spencer; Kaye (Dick) Clowdus, Wyoming; brothers Willard (Betty) Forsythe, Spencer; Woodrow (Wilma) Forsythe, Crossville.
Service will be Friday at 11:00 am CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ken Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Blackburn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
