Velma P. Lockhart, age 83, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Tuesday morning, November 26, 2013 at her home. She was preceded in death by husband, Jim Lockhart; parents, Charlie and Bessie Sims.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Craig) Camp; eight sons, David (Fern), Terry (Shirley), Ralph (Denice), Donald (Beverly), Jesse (Celena), Loyd Lockhart, all of Dunlap and Robert (Becky) Lockhart, Centerville, TN, Jackie (Gwen) Lockhart, North Augusta, SC; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruby (Richard) Bureau, Betty (John) Harvey, Alma (Ronny) Young, all of Signal Mtn., and Maryetta Smith, GA; two brothers, Norman (Jessie) Sims, Dunlap and Claude (Carolyn) Sims, Red Bank; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 10:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Camp Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST. No visitation on Thursday.
