Lewis McDowell, age 97, of Dunlap, TN died Tuesday morning June 3, 2008 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fount and Nannie Bell McDowell; granddaughter, Krispin Ray; three brothers, Harold, Larance and Edward McDowell.
He is survived by his wife, Mae McDowell; three daughters, Doris McDowell, Dunlap, Opal (Gene) Glenn, Soddy Daisy, Opelia (Gary) Ray, Smyrna; two sons, Carl (Peggy) and Glenn (Patricia) McDowell both of Dunlap.; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Charles Ross, Rev. Freddie Savage, and Rev. Bill Montandon officiating. Burial will be in Cagle-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery. Condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
