Marie B. Sapp, age 65 of Pikeville, died Sunday, November 10, 2013. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Marie retired as a registered nurse from Cumberland Medical Center where she was the nurse manager of the medical surgical floors at CMC. She took great pride in working to help the less fortunate.
Preceding Marie in death was her mother Gladys Burgess.
Survivors include husband Johnny Sapp, Pikeville; daughter Julia (Steve) Miller, Dayton; sons Chad (Jaclyn) Sapp, Pikeville; Nick (Tanya) Sapp, Murfreesboro; grandchildren Alexis, Raven, Eli, Blake, Zayde, and Noah; father Buddy (Joan) Burgess, Pikeville; brother Randall (Brenda) Burgess, Dunlap; several nieces and nephews; special friend Brenda Pennington, Crossville.
Service will be Wednesday at 10:00 am CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Tuesday 12-9 pm CST. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bread of Life Ministries in Crossville, TN.
