Obituary of Wilma Joyce Davis

Wilma Joyce Davis, age 82 of Whitwell, died Friday, October 25, 2013. She was a member of Sulphur Springs UMC for seventy years and attended the Sarah Sunday School Class. Wilma was a substitute teacher for over sixty years and dearly loved all the children.
Preceding her in death was husband Audley "Boots" Davis; parents,Reuben Albert and Hallie Elizabeth Griffith sisters Jean Griffith, Helen Davis and Dorothy Ables; brother Jerry Griffith; special niece Kennedy Griffith.
Survivors include son Gary (Jan) Davis, Jasper; four daughters Connie (Roger) Johnson; Susan (Darrell) Miller; Janet Thompson, all of Powells Crossroads; Julia (Brian) Cash, Kimball; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn Griffith, Powells Crossroads; Virginia Barber, Jasper; brother Wayne (Toni) Griffith, Powells Crossroads; many nieces and nephews.
Service will be Monday at 12:00 noon at the Sulphur Springs UMC with Rev.Brenda Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery. Nephews will be serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sulphur Springs UMC, 329 Sulphur Springs Road, Whitwell, TN. 37397. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
