John Prater, age 75, of Dunlap, TN died Tuesday night at NHC Health Care. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Prater; brother, Jackson Prater; parents, Jack and Mary Prater.
He is survived by daughter, Ann Richardson, Pikeville; three sons, Billy and David Prater both of Dunlap and Johnny Prater Pikeville; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Ovella Higgenbottom; brother, Bill Prater, Soddy-Daisy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Condolences can be sent to reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
