Larry Layne, age 70 of Dunlap, TN died Monday morning April 14, 2008 in the Memorial North Park Hospital. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and was a member of St. Elmo Lodge # 437 F&A.M. and Chattanooga Valley Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Holland Layne; son Mike Layne; grandson Robert Layne; parents Gilbert and Mammie Layne; three brothers.
He is survived by daughter Diane (Tony) Atwood, Scottsville, KY; son Greg Layne, Pikeville; eight grandchildren, Jacklyn, Greg and Tommy Layne all of Dunlap, Amanda Hartman, Huntsville, AL, Terry Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, Ally Atwood, Scottsville, KY; three great-grand children; four sisters, Judy Duffey and Iretta Grant both of Sale Creek, Dorothy Holland, Dunlap and Nola Turner, Scottsville, KY; two brothers Buddy G. Layne and Billy C. Layne both of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews. Condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Earl Laymans officiating. Burial will be in the Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed, 50 May Road, Dunlap.
Family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
