Obituary of Lorene Hughes Swafford

Lorene H. Swafford, age 101 of Pikeville, died Saturday, June 22, 2013. She was a member of the Pikeville United Methodist Church. Lorene was a retired school teacher, a member of the Bledsoe County Retired Teachers Association, and was a charter member of the Home Demonstration Club.
She was preceded in death by husband L. L. Swafford; daughter-in-law Flo Swafford;
Survivors include two sons Leon Swafford and John (Betsy) Swafford, both of Pikeville; five grandsons; six great-grandchildren; sister Gertrude H. Bishop, Elizabethton; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Monday at 4:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Ashburn and Rev. Greg Smart officiating. Burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation 5-8 pm CDT Sunday and 2-4pm CDT Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Pikeville United Methodist Church.
