Minnie Helen Simmons, age 87, of Pikeville, TN died Saturday April 5, 2008. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed quilting, was an avid flower gardener, and a wonderful cook.
She was preceded in death by husband Jay Simmons, four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by daughters, Shirley (Wayne) Measles, Pikeville; Bettye (Oscar) Gaw, Cookeville; grandchildren, Susan Measles, Cookeville, Shawna (Jim) Peace, Nashville; Monte (Michelle) Gaw, Cookeville; 1 great grandson Matthew Gaw; extended family staff and residence of Bledsoe County Nursing Home and Dr. David Sapp.
Services will be Monday 1:00 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Albert Roberts and Mike Stanifer officiating. Burial will be in Blankenship Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 4-8PM, Monday 8AM-1PM.
