Wilma Jean Douglas,age 80,of Pikeville died Monday March 17, 2008 in an area hospital. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Douglas, one daughter, Merita Sue Douglas; parents, Perry and Ellen Beyer; two brothers, Casto and Otto Beyer and three sisters, Zonia Hopkins, Gracie Mooneyham and Zena James.
She is survived by one son Gary (Wanda) Douglas, of Pikeville; one granddaughter, Dawn (Darron) Cook; and one great-grandson, D.J. Cook, all of Pikeville; special nieces and nephews, Ethelene Smith and family; Ellen Hopkins and family and Steve Bell, all of Pikeville; Arlissa Cribbs and family of Dunlap, TN; Rosie Campbell and family and Ronald Goins and family all of Chattanooga; Glen Goins and family of Mt. Juliet; Gene Moody and family of Ohio; Lorieta Sherwood and family of Virginia and a special great-niece, Alathea Grace Cribbs of Chattanooga.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the chapel with Pastor Woodrow Forsyth and Dr. R. (Freddie) Harding officiating. Visitation will begin 5 until 9 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
