Obituary of Emma Virginia Clendenen

Virginia Clendenen, age 80, of Hixson, TN, formerly of Pikeville, TN died Friday, March 14, 2008 in an area hospital. She was a member of the Red Bank Church of Christ, and was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Clendenen; two sisters, Velma Pursley and Alice Boyd; and one son-in-law, Melvin Cline.
She is survived by two daughters, Carlotta Cline, of Hixson, and Elaine Boyd (Randy) Osby, of Hixson; and one son, Alton Lee Clendenen, of Pikeville; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three step great-granchildren; one sister, Bobbie (Burl) Hixson, of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the chapel with Minister Steve Lusk officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00-8:00 p.m. CDT.
