Doris Anita Ellis Pope, age 77, of Dunlap, TN, made her journey home Tuesday morning April 2, 2013. She was a member of Way Of The Cross Baptist Church. She will always be remembered for her beautiful quilt tops and her home cooking. She was a retired hairdresser, beloved mother, wife, and friend to all. She was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Ellis and Minnie Whitlow Ellis Jacocks.
She is survived by her husband, Don Pope; three daughters, Cindy (Jerry) Martin, Las Vegas, NV, Lisa (Steve) Hamilton, Dunlap, Rosie Nunley, Dunlap; son, Danny (Carol) Dennis, Chattanooga; four grandchildren, Danielle Lynch, Andrew Dennis, Heather Utecht, Amber Nunley; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lanny Tate officiating. Burial will be in Pope Cemetery.
