Ella R. Loyd Miller, age 81, of Pikeville, TN died Saturday, March 8, 2008 in an area hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Miller; three brothers, Ernest, William and Carl Loyd; one sister, Beulah Knight; and one grandson, Ricky Loyd.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Clyde) Knowles, of Pikeville, and Sue Sampley, of Chattanooga; one son, Ted Miller, of Pikeville; one sister, Bernice Oakes, of Pikeville; one brother, Glenn Loyd, of Pikeville; four grandchildren, Kenny Knowles, Steve and Lisa Miller, and Chris Sampley; eight great-granchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in McDowell Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday after 4:00 p.m. and all day Monday.
