Edward L. Smith age 87 of Crossville, TN died Thursday March 6, 2008 at Veteran's Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was of the Baptist faith and a United States veteran serving in WWII.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Paul Edward Smith; parents, Ben and Ethel Smith; three brothers, Coy, Willard and Rhodes Smith and one sister Novella Campbell.
Survived by his wife, Anna P. Smith of Crossville; sons, Bob (Meadow) Smith and Gerald (Sandra) Smith both of Soddy Daisy; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Elma Smith of Pikeville, TN.
Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the chapel with Rev. Hubert Davis officiating. Burial will be in Iron Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Saturday 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.CDT and Sunday 8:00 a.m. CDT until funeral time. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
