Mack White, age 85, of Dunlap, TN, passed away, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at his home. He was born in Franklin, TN. He then moved to Knoxville where he met the love of his life. They moved to Dunlap where they raised their family. He was a founding member of the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Fairy White; sisters, Leo White, Aliene Ryan, Jenny Waters, Willie C. Merritt, and Betty Jean Lankford; brothers, Johnny White and Joe White.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Evelyn Wilson White; three daughters, Sue Manley, Jeanette Payne, Karen (Ralph) Green; one son, David White; six grandchildren, Chris (Nelly) Payne, Cindy (Sandy) Wood, Greg (Jane) Heard, Stephanie (Don) Little, Travis (Amanda) Manley, and Justin (Rolanda) Green; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Oscar White Jr, Franklin, TN.
Memorial services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Terry Barker officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sequatchie County Rescue Squad. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday 10:00 a.m. CST until service time.
