Evelyn Marie Garrett, age 90, of Whitwell, TN died Friday night February 15, 2008 in the Dunlap NHC Health Care Center, She was a member of the Ewtonville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Milford Garrett, daughter, Jacqueline Laughter, great-grandson, Jacob Ryan Gevedon; sister, Virginia Kress; brother, Joseph Keith.
She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Glenn) Blevins, Whitwell; son W. Joseph (Mary) Garrett; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family request donations for Gideons Bibles in lieu of flowers.
Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Charles Jenkins and Rev. John Goforth officiating. Burial will be in the Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. CST Sunday.
