Roger David Gordy, age 68, of Dunlap, formerly of LaFayette, GA, died Friday , January 11, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Viola Gordy; brother, Walt Gordy.
He is survived by wife, Linda Gordy; daughter, Cindy (David) Shell; four grandsons, Steven, Cody and Dustin Snider and Brad Shell; two brothers, Stantford Gordy, LaFayette, GA and Tommy Gordy, Ringgold, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. CST at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Monday 4:00-9:00 p.m. CST.
