Minnie Lee Hatfield Curtis, age 82 of Pikeville, passed away very peacefully on December 31, 2012 after an extended illness. She was born April 3, 1930, in Pikeville to Floyd and Kate Hatfield.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Callie Lee Curtis and Charles Jeremy Curtis; three great grandchildren Kennedy Horton, Aaron Horton, and Cameron Tallon; sister Ann Laura Green of Whitwell and sister-in-law Martha Elizabeth McMillon
She married the love of her life, Earl Curtis, on July 4, 1947 and on July 2, 1997 he preceded her in death. Their son, Charles Earl Curtis was born on March 18, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2009. She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers Roger, Joe, and J.C.; one sister Johnnie Ruth Hutton.
Minnie Lee was a member of the Church of Christ and the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.CST Thursday in the chapel with Bro. Paul Cagle and Bro. Charlie Hannah officiating. Burial will take place at Pikeville Cemetery, next to her husband Earl Curtis. Memorials in Minnie Lee’s name can be made to the Bledsoe County Rescue Squad.
