Steve H. Hudson age 65, of Whitwell, TN went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday December 28, 2012. He was born November 4, 1947 to Gettis and Jean Hudson. He was a devoted husband, father, son and grandfather.
Steve was very active in his church and in the community that he loved. He had served as Whitwell's Mayor for the past two years. He was a member of the Whitwell Lodge #583 F. & A.M. Steve was blesses with a very compassionate and giving heart. He never met a stranger and made people feel special. If you could measure a man by the size of their heart, Steve was a gaint!
He was preceded in death by his father, Gettis Hudson; sister Gayla Maxwell; nephew, Adam Maxwell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Phillis; sons, Clay (Amy) Hudson and Chip (Holly) Hudson; daughter, Sadie Logan; mother, Jean Hudson; sister, Judy Boles; grandchildren, Mollie Clark, Brookes, Emma and Carter; many other loving family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Helenthal officiating. Burial will be in the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Reed Funeral Home 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell, TN. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. CST Saturday and from 12-2 p.m. CST Sunday.
