Lorene Smith, age 94 of Pikeville, died Friday, November 9, 2012. She was a member of the College Grove Church of Christ. Lorene was preceded in death by husband Eugene Smith; parents J. O. Turner, Sr. and Eliza Turner; sisters Sophia Moore, Cleora Sullivan, Geneva Smith, Mary Tucker, and Lucille Hargis; brothers Howard, Melvin, Brown, and Jib Turner.
Survivors include children Glenna (Greer) Barger; Willie Ray (Carolyn) Smith; Jerry (Nanette) Smith; Mikey Joe (Linda) Smith, all of Pikeville; grandchildren Jason (Becky) Barger; Dale (Lydia) Barger; Nick (Crystal) Smith; Nathan (Sarah) Smith; Courtney (Johnny) Anderson; and Brent Smith; great-grandchildren Jill, Jake, John Rufus Anderson; Ayden Smith; Kenzie Barger; sister Leona Roberts; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Sunday at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Dennis Smith and Bro. Paul Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Cemetery.
