Estil L. Hixson, age 78, of Pikeville, TN died Tuesday January 8, 2008 in an area hospital. He was a member of Lee's Station Church of Christ and a US Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Opal Hixson.
He is survived by his loving companion, Rachel Rankin, of Pikeville; one sister, Evelyn Joyce Miller, of Sparta, TN; nephews, Harold Raulerson of Apalachicola, FL, and Mike Lockhart, of Livingston, TN; extended family, Leonard and Frances Cagle; Joe and Helen Stillwell, Harry Lee Rankin, Wanda Miller, James and Joy Rankin, Wendell and Loretta Myers, Tommy and Jean Rankin; several nieces and nephews; and a very special pet, Fluffy.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. CST in the chapel with Minister Hugh Lamb officiating. Visitation will Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. CST. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Bart Myers, Bryan Myers, Mark Rankin, Wendell Myers, Brince Cagle and J. Buford Sullivan.
