Charles Edward Henry, age 75, of Dunlap, TN died Sunday morning December 23, 2007 at his home. He was a member of the Dunlap First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for several years, served in the United States Coast Guard. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Fuller Center for Housing and Sequatchie Builders. He was member of the American Legion Harvey Merriman Post 190 and retired from Dupont after 37 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Foster and Pauline Henry. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Henry; one daughter, Diane Swanger; two sons, Ronnie and Mark (Beverly) Henry all of Dunlap; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nondas Johnson and Reba Beaton both of Chattanooga and June Stephens of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Rankin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or Fuller Center for Housing or Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network. Condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST. Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. CST. There will be no Visitation on Tuesday.
