Obituary of Peggy Jean Hooper

Peggy Jean Hooper, 78, of Whitwell, TN, died peacefully at her home on Thursday morning, October 18, 2012. She was the wife of the late Harry Joe Hooper who died on May 20th. Our Mother always said she could not live without him so now they are back together. She was a member of the Whitwell Church of Christ. Peggy will be remembered by her wonderful singing voice and warm personality. She was a true Coal Miner’s Daughter of the late Tillman and Annie Bone. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law Johnny and Joan Bone.
She is survived by her three sons, Gary (Deb) Hooper, Whitwell, DuWane (Myra) Hooper, Birmingham, and Harry Joe (Traci) Hooper II of Nashville; her sister, Hatha Rae (Rod) McDonald of Winder, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Derek Hooper, Whitwell, Dr. Micah (Mike) Krempasky, Ashville, NC, Sarah Hooper, Los Angeles, CA, Aubrey (Brie) Hooper, Mobile, AL, Emily Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, and Presley Hooper, all of Nashville; two great-grandchildren, Aggie and Lily Krempasky, Ashville.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 pm CDT in the chapel of the funeral home with Minister Larry Cole officiating. Graveside services will follow at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery with Minister Richard Sain presiding. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
