Daniel Walter Studer, 38, of Nashville, TN formerly of Dunlap went home to be with the Lord and Savior December 18, 2007. Born January 12, 1969, he leaves behind his parents, Gene and Jane Perkins Studer; sister, Mrs. Andrea (Charles) Gilbert; niece, Mrs. Lyndsey (Caleb) Johnson; grandmother, Cora Studer; aunt, Anna Lee Studer, all of Dunlap, TN; uncle, Quillen (Carmita) Perkins of Bakewell, TN and many extended family members and friends. He also leaves behind his faithful companion, Baby, a miniature Schnauzer.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Studer and Anita "Nene" Webb and Luke Webb. Daniel's love of music and the message conveyed through gospel music guided his music ministry. He currently was the keyboard artist and singer with the Kelly's of Lawrenceburg, TN. The group has performed their southern gospel music ministry throughout the southeastern states. Earlier in his musical career he played and sang with a number of gospel groups in the Nashville area including Naomi & the Segos, The Celestials and Pure Grace. He also was road manager and keyboard artist for LuLu Roman after her retirement from the Hee Haw TV show. He will also be greatly missed by his co-workers at Joann's Hair Design in Nashville.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be members of the Kelly's and Danny and Doyle Kerley. Friends that played music with him will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. CST Saturday and from 12- 2 p.m. CST Sunday.
