Ernest Charles Boring Sr., age 68, of Pikeville, TN died December 2, 2007 in an area hospital. He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ. Mr. Boring was a former Bledsoe County Commissioner and former chairman of the Bledsoe County Democratic Party. He was preceded in death by one son, E. Charles Boring Jr.; his parents, Hubert Ray and Rosie Lee Boring; three sisters, Marie Boring, Wanda Crawley, and Ruth Headlee; and one brother, Johnny Ray Boring. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Boring, of Pikeville; two sons, Michael (Christy) Boring and Vincent (Susan) Boring, both of Pikeville; one daughter, Rene (Larry)Billingsley, of Pikeville; grandchildren, Jerod (Kelli) Billingsley, Wendy (David) Denney, Tyler, Brooklyn, and Brett Boring, Vannessia (Chuck) Wyatt, and Chris (Kim) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Billingsley, Maddie Denney, Pamela Holland, Bryson Wyatt, Conner and Caleb Johnson; three brothers, Wade (Lucille) Boring, Frank (Mary) Boring, and Roy Allen Boring; sisters- Mickie Harmon, Melba Lee (Danny) Phillips, Beulah Jane (Ray) Parker, Linda (Ronnie) Horner; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. CDT at the Cold Springs Church of Christ with Minister T.A. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Simmons Cemetery. The family is being served by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home of Pikeville, TN, where they will receive friends Monday after 4:00 p.m. and all day Tuesday.
