Obituary of Sarah Swafford Poulson

Sara Robnett Poulson, age 85 of Pikeville, TN died Sunday November 25, 2007. She was a member of Swafford's Chapel Church and also attended Pikeville United Methodist Church. She served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. She was a graduate of John A Patten High School in 1940 and was Valedictorian. She received a BS and MA degree from UT in Knoxville where she also taught Home Ec. She was a retired Kindergarden teacher from the Bledsoe County School System and an active 4-H Club leader.
She was preceded in death by he husband Anker Poulson, parents, James F. and Addie Swafford Robnett and a brother James F. Robnett, Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick (Melissa) Poulson of Pikeville and Nicky (Trina) Poulson of Port Orange, FL; four grandchildren, T.J. Clark, Nicklaus, Savanna and Olivia Poulson; three sisters, Sue and Elizabeth Robnett and Hannah Tom Schoolfield all of Pikeville and one brother, John Robnett of Bellingham, WA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. CST in the chapel with Rev. Bobby Schoolfield officiating. Burial will be in Thomas Y Swafford's Cemetery.
