Obituary of Billy Junior Swanner

Billy J. Swanner, age 68, of the Hendon Community went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, after a short battle with cancer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ruby Lewis Swanner, two brothers, Cotton Swanner and Baby Swanner, and one sister, Patsy Bowman.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Lee Swanner; two sons, Ronald "Scooby" Skiles, of Bakewell, and Andy Swanner, of Sale Creek; brothers, Clayton Swanner, David Swanner, and Ed Swanner, all of Bakewell; sisters, Mamie White, of Soddy-Daisy, Margaret Skiles, of Sale Creek, and Regina Swafford, of Chatsworth, GA; stepdaughter, Kathy (Dan) Presley; stepson, Roger (Lisa) Swanner; one granddaughter, Caylee Goff; two step-granddaughters, Amanda (David) Skalka and Brittany Swanner; two step-grandsons, Michael Presley and Stephen Swanner; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 p.m. CST at the Hendon Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Dockery officiating. Burial will be in Hendon Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thurday after 6:00 p.m. CST and all day Friday.
