Matthew "Matt" Lofty, age 27, of Soddy-Daisy, TN, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at his home. He was of the Church of God Faith. He was preceded in death by great-grandfather, Willie Higdon; great-grandmother, Mary Rutledge.
He is survived by mother, Roxann and step-dad Warren Luetke, Soddy-Daisy; father, Mark and step-mother Cathy Lofty; sister, Deedra (Brian) Powell, Dunlap; brothers, Rick Webb II, Soddy-Daisy and Zechary Lofty, Crossroads; grandparents, Gene and Jean Layne, Whitwell; great-grandmother, Josephine Higdon, Dunlap; aunt, Dawn Luetke, Crossroads; three uncles, Rocky, Will and Ralph Layne, Whitwell; niece, Cailyn Powell; several cousins; special friend, Felica Guy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Dunn and Rev. Mark Woody officiating. Burial will be in the Hoodenpyle Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday 6:00-9:00 p.m. CDT and Friday 3:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
