Lorene Blankenship, age 81 of Pikeville, died Sunday, August 26, 2012. She was born August 4, 1931 in Van Buren County to Bill and Mary Mooneyham and was a 1951 graduate of Van Buren County High School.
Lorene was preceded in death by husband James Earl Blankenship; grandson William Dwight Blankenship; parents Bill and Mary Mooneyham; brothers Rev. Douglas Haston, Lester Haston, and Arlin Mooneyham.
Survivors include daughter Teresa (Larry) Farley; sons James Howard (Bonnie) Blankenship, Billy Wade (Elizabeth) Blankenship, David (Donna) Blankenship and Dwight (Lisa) Blankenship, all of Pikeville; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters Pauline VanWinkle, Lavergne; and Nida Fay Dodson, Spencer; special family Stuart, Joyce, Hanna, and Coleman Carroll.
Service will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Lee, Bro. Bill Montana, and Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Blankenship Cemetery.
