Versie Katherine Whitmire, age 81, of Signal Mtn., TN, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at her residence. She was of the Church of God Faith. She was preceded in death by son, Wayne Whitmire.
She is survived by husband, Fred Whitmire; daughters, Annette (Billy) Woodard, Signal Mtn., Susie (Taylor) Givens, Signal Mtn., Judy (Jimmy) Fry, Ashland City, TN, Paulette (Clarence) Yoder, Dayton, Joanna (Dan) Stonebraker, Chattanooga; sister, Polly Griffin; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Matt Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the North Fairmont Cemetery.
