Frank Richard 'Dick' Swafford, Jr., age 66 of Pikeville, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Dick was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a life-long dairy farmer in Bledsoe County of which he was a member of Dairy Farmers of America. He was also a member of Pikeville United Methodist Church, on the Board of Directors of Farm Bureau in Bledsoe County, member of St. Elmo Lodge # 437 F&AM, Chattanooga Consistories of Scottish Rite Masons, and Alhambra Shriners. He was preceded in death by father Frank Richard Swafford, Sr.
Survivors include wife of forty-four years, Ginger Swafford; son Frank Richard (Jessica) Swafford, III, Pikeville; granddaughter Haley Swafford. Services will be Friday at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Greg Smart and Bro. Albert Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Swafford Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pikeville United Methodist Church or Swafford Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
