G. D. Spangler, age 87, of Dunlap, TN, died Tuesday morning, May 29, 2012. He was preceded in death by wife, Ava Spangler; son, Larry G. Spangler.
He is survived by son, Jerry (Betty) Spangler, Signal Mtn.; daughter-in-law, Diane Spangler, Signal Mtn.; four grandchildren, Sonja (Anthony) Sanders, Soddy-Daisy, David Spangler, Ringgold, GA, Mitchell Spangler, Chattanooga and Troy Spangler, Signal Mtn.; three great-grandchildren, Kirsten Mitchell, Payton James, Brittan Sanders; very dear and special friend and caregiver, Dimple Jancovich.
Graveside services will be held Friday 1:00 p.m. EDT at Chattanooga Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mickey Whitmire officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Thursday 2:00-8:00 p.m. EDT.
