Carl "Ed" Fugate, age 77 of Pikeville died Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Carl was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was also in the American Legion and the VFW. Preceding Carl in death were parents Carl and Ida Fugate, infant sister, brothers Kenneth, Ted and Roger Fugate.
Survivors include daughters Dee Anna Fugate and Rebecca Fugate, Kansas; son Russell (Bobbi Sue) Fugate, Tracy City; three grandchildren Samantha(Brett) Lindsay, Jessika Fugate-Evans, Spencer Fugate; great-granddaughter Haylee Lindsay; sister Lewise (Herman) White, Decatur; Wanda (John) Boyd, Dunlap; Carlos (Glenn) Hale, Chattanooga; Margie (Bud) Parrott, Dayton; brother Stanley (Debbie) Fugate, Soddy Daisy; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Service will be Saturday at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Danny Coffelt officiating. Burial will follow in Spring City Cemetery.
