Obituary of Kathleen Foster Panter

Kathleen Foster Panter, age 88 of Pikeville, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at NHC Health Care of Sequatchie in Dunlap. Kathleen was born June 30, 1923 in Van Buren County to the late William and Mary Elizabeth Roberts Foster. She was a resident of Bledsoe County (Pikeville) for nearly eighty years where she loved the farm she called home in Panter Bottom. Kathleen was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother and was an excellent seamstress and did beautiful embroidery. Preceding her in death was her husband of fifty-two years Maynard C. Panter; brothers Ed, William, and John Foster; sisters Evelyn Murez, Violet Rigsby, and Willien Foster. She is survived by four children Bettye P. (J. T.) Myers, Pikeville; Martha P. (Charles) Miller, Yorktown, VA; William C. (Bonnie) Panter, League City, Texas; and John M. (Mary Grace) Panter, Hixson; eight grandchildren Ronnie (Tammie) Sapp, Connie (Wayne) Holland, Ken Sapp, Charles IV (Brenda) Miller, Christopher (Kristi) Miller, William Jr. (Wanda) Miller, Donna (Terry) Villarreal, and Jonathan (Andrea) Panter; fourteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; a very special neighbor and friend Linda Jordan. A service honoring her life will be Monday at 2:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Beach Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
