Homer Smith, Sr. age 83 of Pikeville, TN died Tuesday January 25, 2011. He was a member of Thans Chapel Church of God. Preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ruth Smith; son James Willard Smith and great-great grandson, Aaron Seth Savage.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Linda C. Smith, Pikeville; three daughters, Emma Jean Bowman and Lois Ann (Wayne) Snyder, Dunlap and Emma K. Smith of Pikeville; two sons, Carl Smith and Homer Dwayne Smith, Pikeville; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Eva (Gene) Johnson, and Wilma Hankins, Pikeville; Reva Holt, Chattanooga, Virginia (David) Summers, Pikeville; four brothers, Gather (Jessie Lee) Smith, Dunlap, Bob (Helen) Smith, Pikeville, Billy (Brenda) Smith, GA and George A (Linda) Smith, Pikeville; two special friends, Charles Plank and Logan McDaniel.
Service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. CST in the chapel with Minister Dennis Smith officiating. Burial in Collier Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday 5-9 p.m. CST.
