Obituary of Edward Gross Roberson

Edward Gross Roberson, age 83 of Pikeville, died Saturday afternoon, April 14, 2012, at Memorial Health Care Center. He was of the Christian Faith. Gross was retired from the United States Air Force, was a member of St. Elmo Lodge #437 F.&A.M., and a life-time member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 110. He also served on the eighth district national executive committee and served as distinct commander for Disabled American Veterans.
Gross was preceded in death by brothers J. B., Roy C., Jack, and Lewis Roberson and sister Linda Case.
Survivors include his wife Mary Florence Roberson; daughters Yvonne Overton, Chattanooga; Linda Roberson, Pikeville; son Billy S. Roberson, Oak Ridge; grandson Joel Overton; brothers Blake (Mary Jean), Frank, Tommy (Suzy) Roberson, all of Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 11:00 am CDT in the funeral home chapel with burial following in Collier Cemetery with full military honors. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Sunday 4-8 pm CDT.
