Lewis B. "Benny" Smith, age 66, of Dunlap, TN died Tuesday morning. He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Jett & Gladys Smith; two daughters, Mary Kathleen Smith and Tammy Roe; one brother, Bobby C. Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Alma Smith; one son, Lewis B. "Brandy" Smith Jr; three grandchildren, Cheryl (Joe) Blaylock, Lewis Benjamin Smith III, Jade Smith; one great-grandson, Edward "Jacob" Blaylock; two step grandchildren, Starla and Anthony Smith; two sisters, Nancy (Lawrence) Cagle, Mary (Joe) May of Dunlap; two brothers, Clayton (Margaret) Smith of Hixson and Clinton (Wanda) Smith of Dunlap; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Marvin McClendon officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Rd, Dunlap, TN. Www.ReedFamilyFH.com. The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
