Melvin Earl Markum, age 55 of Dunlap, TN died Wednesday afternoon in the St. Thomas Hospital. He was a member of the Dunlap First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Mary Markum, sister Rena Olivia Walton.
He is survived by a brother Tommy (Susie) Markum, Dunlap; two nieces Heather Markum and Amber McClain; three great nieces and great nephew.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lanny Tate officiating. Burila will be in the Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. The family will receive friends from 4-9 Thursday and all day Friday.
