Obituary of Arnold Ray Cartwright

Ray "Papa Ray" Cartwright, age 74, of Whitwell passed away Tuesday March 13, 2012 at his home. He was a member of Palmer Church of God, member of Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department, and a Marion County school bus driver for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Tina Cartwright; sister Sharon Kay Donnelly.
He is survived by two daughters; Debra (David) Rodery, Soddy Daisy and Gail (Alfred) Christian , Dunlap, two sons, Dillard (Jill) Cartwright, Dunlap and Forrest (Debbie) Cartwright, Whitwell; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sister Janet McBryar, Tiftonia TN; brother Johnny Murphy, Rising Fawn, Ga; and Sonny Murphy, Gainsville, Fl. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with William Smith and Clayton Privett officiating. Burial will be in Whitwell memorial Cemetery.
