Obituary of Wilma Erlene Green

Wilma Erlene Minton Green, age 93, of Dunlap, TN, died Friday, January 21, 2011. She was born March 11, 1917 to William (Bill) and Edith Boyd McCarver. She was a very active member of the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church most of her life. She was employed eighteen years at Spartain Manufacturing. In her mid 50's she began a successful business. She was a kind, loving and very generous lady and an inspiration to a great many people. She was much loved by all and will be missed sorely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William (Bill) and Edith Boyd McCarver; husband of forty-one years, Waymon Minton; also husband, Rubin Green; one son Clayborn Lee Minton; one grandson, Chris Minton; brothers, Frank, Eugene, George Lee, Levi Osborn and David McCarver; sister, Irene McCarver Swafford.
She is survived by two sons, Cecil Minton, McMinnville, and Howard Minton, Dunlap; two daughters, Betty Stocker, Dunlap and Helen Lois Grammer, Shelbyville, TN; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday 2:00 p.m. CST at the Mt Pleasant Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Cagle-Mt.Pleasant Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
