Elvis Funderburk, 85 of Whitwell, TN., Died Wednesday Aug 29, 2007. He was a member of Whitwell First Baptist Church, and a veteran awarded a purple heart in World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Funderburk; parents, Mr. Mrs. Dallas Funderburk and brother, Lawrence Funderburk.
Survivors include a son, Dr.Randall (Carolyn) Funderburk of Signal Mountain, TN.; grandsons, Thom and Logan Funderburk; sister, Lavada Hughes, Newark, CA; brother, Raymond Funderburk, Sonora, CA; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Red Hill Cemetery at 10:00 A. M. CDT on Friday, August 31, 2007. There will be no visitation.
