I met Donald in 2008 to discuss a project and he altered how I thought about the spatial world- his mind was moving faster than he could talk. We were in similar artisan circles up until he moved to the plateau. He was always witty, crudely funny and one of the smartest minds I have ever been fortunate enough to know. It was great to know him.

I am grateful that my path in the journey of life converged with Donald's. My time with him, although brief and infrequent, always brightened my day. He was so talented and a Light. I have fond memories of being with him, Cindy, and Fiona. Love, carol nickle

Donald was one of those truly rare individuals that made an indelible mark on your life. We all have many friends throughout life, but very few that actually change your life for the better. I know that for the rest of my life, I will think of Donald every single day and remember something special he shared with me. I am proud to have been his friend and know that my life will be lesser without him. He was funny, irreverent, smart, curious, accepting, inclusive and married to my best friend! How great is all that?!
I liked Donald, I loved Donald, I respected Donald, and I trusted Donald. What else can one say?
