Marie Virginia Swafford, age 92, born September 8, 1927 in Bledsoe County, died June 4, 2020, after an extended illness.
She was a member of Swafford Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, S. Clint and Mary Elizabeth Swafford; brothers, John Paul and wife, Dorothy Jean, Henry and Hollis Swafford; sisters, Dorothy and husband, Harold Holloway and Shelby Carroll.
She is survived by her brothers, Bratch (LaVerne) Swafford, Max (Mary) Swafford, Dion (Linda) Swafford; sister, Theresa Hodges; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Worthington Cemetery. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, June 6 from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. CDT.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Swafford’s Chapel Methodist Church.
