Winona Dill, born January 1, 1925, died Friday morning, November 18, 2011at Erlanger Hospital after a short illness. She was preceded in death by husband Alton Dill; parents Mary and Monroe Austin; sisters Sara Cain, Betty Whitlow and Freba Harris; brother Earl Wayne Austin; great-granddaughter Sydney Logan Dill. Winona and her husband Alton were owners and operators of "The Dollar Store" for over forty-five years. Winona was a founding member of First Southern Baptist Church and was a member of the "Kitchen Kapers" with the Bledsoe County Senior Citizens.
Survivors include sons Earl Lee (Pat) Dill, Knoxville; Gary Dill, Chattanooga; grandsons Allen (Beth) Dill and Jeffery Dill; great-grandchildren Kristen, Brittany, Brandon, Alexander, Austin, Jacob, and Courtney Dill, all of Knoxville.
Service will be Sunday at 2:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jim Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
